“Since 2006 I have had the opportunity to participate in Glenn’s canoe trip program.  The trips have one week long excursions into Killarney Provincial Park, west of Sudbury. 

As a high school teacher, I am aware of the importance of trips that are safe, well organized, and provide unique learning experiences for adolescents.  Glenn always provides a detailed trip itinerary, outlining all necessary information such as daily schedules, and required gear for campers.  Under his supervision,  I have always felt safe and secure in his planning skills and camping expertise. 

His knowledge of wilderness trips is  both informative and engaging;  I have seen high school students come away from Glenn’s trips with a better understanding of the outdoors, first aid techniques, and map reading.   With Glenn’s easy going nature, and patience with teenagers, it is easy to understand why the students hope to return the following year.  Just as importantly, the students acquire personal skills such as independence, initiative, and cooperation through daily activities planned and supervised by Glenn.

I would recommend Glenn’s trips to any teacher or parent seeking a safe, organized outdoor experience that provides the opportunity for adolescents to enhance personal growth and develop camping skills.”
